Pre Heresy World Eaters, which codex to use?

In the beginning I’ve considered the Blood Angels bandwagon, but there are so many things that keep me away from using it it. This codex have some interesting things what can temp to any player to use it, like assault squads as troops, the almighty Death ‘count as Berserker’ Company, hand flamers, Honour Guard, and so on, but there are also things like ‘all fast vehicles’ that doesn’t fit in any ways, and a lot of things like Sanguinary Guard, Psyker-Dreads, dedicated Land Raiders… Is the general feeling of C:BA that I don’t like for a pre-Heresy World Eaters army.

Of all Space Marine codex, there are two of them that can fit really well in the theme, Codex Black Templars and Codex Chaos Space Marines.

Codex Black Templars:

Is pretty obvious that we must ignore all of the post-Heresy stuff, like infantry assault cannons/multi-meltas/plasma cannons, vindicators, Land Raider crusade variant, Predator Annihilator pattern…

And we got some nice options, like the Emperor’s Champion (with the ‘accept any challenge’ vow) is a pretty decent versión of Khârn (no the Betrayer yet!), Furious Charge terminators, Land Speeders, Drop Pods, Chaplains, Command Squads, Furious Charge Sword Brethren… Still maybe is not the most competitive codex is a good one and can do it pretty well.

Codex Chaos Space Marines:

Have pre-Heresy wargear like Reapper Autocannons, larger squads, Berzerkers, and very good count as (Abbadon=Angron, Defiler=Knight class Titan, lesser daemons=Scouts) and, face it, Khârn, one of the killiest Characters in WH40k. If you need some boosts can take God’s Marks/Icons, here are my interpretations:

Oath of Emperors Glory – Undivided
Psycho Surgery/Oath of Emperors Fury - Khorne
Combat Drugs/Oath of Swiftness - Slannesh
Bionics/Oath of Defence - Nurgle
Refractor Field/Oath of Inmortality – Tzeentch

And also use ‘don’t fluffy units’ like Plague Marines (SM with bionics), Raptors (assault marines with picked up Icon), Obliterators (techmarines in TDA), etc.

Until now I’m playing with C:CSM because is fun, flexible, and tactically adaptable, basic CSM squads can take 2 special weapons, and comes with bolt pistol, close combat weapons and bolter, plus better Ld than the loyalists. I’ll try to expose some nice tácticas with the C:CSM codex ASAP but still to try the Black Templars codex.
