Deus Irae Part 3
At the end of 3 intensive work days, I can say that almost finished the Knight titan (this monster was terrible
time consumer, between 15 and 18 hours!) but I think tat is worth the efforth and the time invested.
It will be a Knight dettached from the Legio Magna (aka Flaming Skulls) to the World Eaters Legio. Still wip, but is nearly finished (just need to add some details, the banners and start painting). In game I use the basic Defiler profile: TL-Autocannon, TL-Heavy flamer, 2x DCCW and Battle Cannon.
In other order of things, Ariakus, Skane and Wreathe squads are primed and ready to painting, but to the grain.
The knight is very easy to build, seems more complicated than that actually is. Alas I have no tutorial pics but ofc, there a kits list:
Defiler:
2x CCW
Torso
lower body (chopped in half)
2x legs
Battlecannon
Sentinel:
Armoured head
Aegis defense line:
2x barricade
Maybe I'm forggeting (sp?) something... But some pics can help.
This is a bit tricky. The sentinel "head" is attached cutting a bit the sentinel cabin-leg supporting bit (sorry, don't know how this bit is called, is the part that joint the legs and the cockpit of the sentinel) and glued inside the hole of the torso, when the battlecannon is intended to fit. Also i glued inside a piece of the spoils of the lower body of the defiler, to show the "engines". I look if a can take a propper pic of this.The autocannon goes on the hole of the top. For that, I glued te AC to the original "head" of the defiler, with some bits to make it look ok.
Upper arm: half leg (with the part of the "ball") glued to the aegis defense like bit. The ball is cutted in half and surrounded by a rhino cuppola (sp?), the ones that comes with the defiler kit.
Lower arm: just te main defiler battlecannon, enlarged, in this case with a pen shell.
Upper arm: is the organic whip arm, attached to the body as intended in the box.
Lower arm: half cutted defiler leg. The claw is just made cutting spikes from the legs and glued to the "ball" of the leg.

Holy crap! It's huge! It seems like an insanely evolutioned Sentinel xD Aren't you finally going to put the heavy flamethrower in its arm? (And again, nice job)
ResponderEliminarSure, the foot don't look like a nice place to put it in! The twin linked heavy flamer is going to the claw's arm :)
